Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions govern purchases of standard physical goods from Heritage in Hues. Please read them with our delivery and returns information. They do not remove rights that cannot be excluded under the law applicable to you.

Placing an order

Purchases and accounts must be made by adults aged 18 or over. Books may be purchased for children by an adult. Checkout is available in English. Add goods to your bag, review quantities and currency, enter your contact and delivery details, choose delivery, review the total and these terms, then authorise payment. You may correct details or cancel an unpaid checkout before paying.

Your order is accepted when we confirm successful payment and send the order confirmation. If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will contact you and provide the remedies required by law, including a refund where appropriate. We do not substitute goods without your agreement.

Products, prices and payment

The product page describes each item, edition, quantity and relevant characteristics. Screen colours can vary; this does not limit your rights where goods are incorrectly described. Prices use the currency shown. Delivery charges and applicable taxes must be disclosed in accordance with the law of the market in which we sell. The final amount payable is shown before you authorise payment. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges for these purchases.

Payments are processed through the provider shown at checkout, currently Stripe or Razorpay where enabled. They may ask your bank to authenticate the payment. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code. A failed payment does not constitute an accepted order.

For cross-border deliveries, you are responsible for import duties, import taxes and carrier clearance charges that are not collected at checkout. These depend on your destination and order. Contact us before ordering if you need help understanding the likely charges. This does not permit us to omit charges that applicable law requires us to calculate and disclose.

Delivery

We process orders on working days, excluding public holidays at the dispatch location. Delivery services and estimates are shown before payment. Unless a different delivery period is expressly agreed before purchase, we deliver without undue delay and within 30 days of accepting the order. Delivery options and estimates are shown for your address before payment. Unless otherwise agreed, where UK/EU distance-selling rules apply we deliver within 30 days. If we cannot meet the agreed delivery date, contact us; your applicable rights to set an additional deadline or cancel are preserved. We remain responsible for goods until you, or a person you nominate, receives them, except where applicable law provides otherwise for a carrier you independently appoint.

Cancellation, returns and problems

Our returns policy explains statutory cancellation, faulty goods and refunds. Manage returns and cancellations through your account or your secure order link. You may also give notice using our contact form, by email or by any other clear statement; an account is not required. A request reference records receipt of your notice; any payment refund is processed separately.

Complaints and applicable law

Nothing in these terms prevents you using a regulator, consumer authority or court available under applicable law. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of habitual residence remain available where applicable.

Keeping a copy

You can print or download these terms. Your order records the version accepted at checkout, and the order confirmation includes the terms, delivery and returns information that applied when you ordered. Later changes do not retrospectively change your contract.

Please give a reply address and enough detail to help us understand the issue. Do not submit passwords, full payment-card details, identity documents or sensitive information unless we specifically arrange a suitable way to receive what is necessary.

Acknowledgement and review

The online form displays a reference and submission time and queues an acknowledgement email. Save the on-screen receipt if email delivery is delayed. We review your request, ask for proportionate clarification where needed, investigate and communicate our outcome. Acknowledgement records receipt; it is not a decision or confirmation of a refund.
